The May 2020 amendment to The Building (Guernsey) Regulations, 2012, Conservation of Fuel and Power L1 Dwellings has changed the fabric insulation standards and allowances for windows, doors and roof lights. A key factor for new builds is the that walls must now have a poorest acceptable U Value of 0.28 as opposed to 0.35.
This could impact traditional block builds but as all of Ecohomes stems comfortably exceed requirements this is no concern for anyone looking to use Timber frame or SIPs technologies we offer.
